Sutherland House is a long established multidisciplinary clinic on Ashbourne Avenue, just off Finchley Road in Temple Fortune. It was founded in 1978 as one of the first centres where osteopaths worked together rather than practising from their own front rooms, and has been managed since 2012 by the E&J Health partnership of physiotherapists Eva Hadjidemetri and Judith Landhausser. The site operates from five treatment rooms with a team of registered practitioners across physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture, private GP services and naturopathy.
The functional medicine offering is led by Marina Townsley (ND, Dip. CNM), a naturopath and nutritional therapist who completed the Gastro-Intestinal Advanced Practice Module with the Institute for Functional Medicine in the USA. She works with functional lab tests including GI Map and GI 360 stool testing, SIBO lactulose breath testing, the DUTCH Plus hormone test, FunctionalDX blood screening and Cyrex Labs autoimmune panels. A free 10 minute consultation is offered, with a new naturopathy consultation priced at £200 for 60 minutes.
Alongside functional testing, the clinic offers Frequency Specific Microcurrent delivered by several FSM practitioners and instructors on staff, plus red light therapy with GP Dr. Peter Herbert on Thursday afternoons. Patients can also buy the iCare wireless PEMF home device (£695) for at-home frequency therapy between visits. Physiotherapy starts at £130 for a new patient, osteopathy at £110 and a private GP consultation at £120. Booking is online, and the clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
