London Bridge Sports Medicine (LBSM) is a sport and exercise medicine group founded by Dr Ajai Seth, whose flagship clinic occupies the 5th floor of The Shard at 32 St Thomas Street, roughly 50 metres from London Bridge station. Its VO2 max testing is done on a Watt bike or a treadmill with a face mask that measures inspired and expired air as intensity rises to maximal effort, with results reported in millilitres per minute per kilogram (mL/min/kg) against age and gender reference ranges.
The practice is consultant-led. Its partners include Dr Ajai Seth (MBBS, MSc, MRCS, MRCGP, FFSEM), Dr Lewis Raiman and Dr Richard Antbring, both FFSEM-qualified sport and exercise medicine consultants, alongside a musculoskeletal radiologist and a vascular surgeon. Performance work also uses VALD ForceDeck force plates for strength, jump and reactive testing, and the clinic has access to in-house diagnostic ultrasound and on-site X-ray, MRI and CT imaging.
Consultations are priced from £425 for an initial 30 minute appointment and £275 for a follow-up, with in-person and virtual options (ultrasound is in-person only). Injection therapies range from £625 to £775 and podiatry from £150. Major insurers including WPA, Cigna, Bupa, AXA and Aviva are accepted, and self-funding patients are welcomed. The clinic opens Monday to Friday, with no appointments listed at weekends.
