Evidence
Human RCTs consistently show oral NMN raises blood NAD+ and is well tolerated, but functional/longevity outcomes are mixed and often null (e.g. a 2025 meta-analysis found no muscle or physical-function benefit), so the longevity claim is only weakly supported.

- NMN is not authorised as a Novel Food in the EU, so it cannot legally be sold as a food supplement; clinic sale sits in a gray area and is technically non-compliant for ingestion claims.
- United States
- After excluding NMN in 2022, the FDA reversed course in 2025 and treats NMN as lawful in dietary supplements via the NDI pathway; sold as a supplement, not an approved drug, with no permitted disease claims.
- United Arab Emirates
- Sold as a supplement subject to MoHAP/Dubai Municipality registration; permitted health claims are limited and no longevity claim is approved.
- United Kingdom
