Intravenous infusion of gram-level ascorbic acid (often 7.5g to 25g+), marketed for immune support, energy, cancer 'support', and anti-aging. Distinct from the small vitamin C dose in a standard drip.

Evidence

experimental

Active oncology and sepsis trials exist but remain unproven adjuncts; for the marketed longevity/wellness and immune claims in healthy people there is no credible controlled evidence of benefit.

Regulatory notes

European Union
Administered as a compounded prescription infusion by physicians; not an approved therapy for cancer, anti-aging, or immunity, and such claims are restricted in the EU/Spain. G6PD screening is a recognized safety requirement.
United States
High-dose IV vitamin C is not FDA-approved for any wellness or cancer indication; the FDA and FTC have acted against unproven immune/COVID and cancer claims for such infusions.
United Arab Emirates
Offered only in DHA/DoH-licensed clinics under physician oversight; disease-treatment claims are prohibited and G6PD testing is expected before high doses.
United Kingdom
Prescription-only compounded infusion; the MHRA/ASA prohibit cancer and cure claims, and it must be delivered under a prescriber in a regulated setting.
