Hormone Panel Testing & Consultation
Blood, saliva, or urine testing of sex hormones, thyroid, cortisol and related markers (testosterone, estradiol, DHEA, TSH, free T3/T4), often paired with a physician consultation to identify imbalances and design a hormone-optimization plan.
Evidence
Serum hormone assays are validated for diagnosing genuine endocrine disorders, but saliva/urine 'functional' panels (e.g. DUTCH) and broad optimization panels used to justify treatment in asymptomatic people have limited evidence of clinical or longevity benefit.

- Legal via licensed labs under IVDR; in Spain panels are ordered and interpreted within licensed medical settings, non-validated tests are discouraged, and any resulting prescription requires a licensed physician.
- United States
- Legal via CLIA labs; some panels available direct-to-consumer, though treatment decisions require a clinician and some assays (saliva/DUTCH) lack FDA validation.
- United Arab Emirates
- Lab testing must be performed in DHA/DoH-licensed laboratories with physician oversight; direct-to-consumer testing is more restricted than in the US.
- United Kingdom
- Available via UKAS-accredited labs and CQC-registered providers; interpretation and prescribing require registered clinicians.
